Hello, and welcome to Local Horse 4 Sale™. My name is Dawn Hoffmann and I have been involved with horses my entire life.

• I received my Teaching and Training VI Certificates the highest level offered.
• I specialized in Dressage and Jumping.
• I supervised several large clinics including one for Special Olympics children, which is where I discovered my love of teaching.
• I taught the fundamentals of riding to a wide range of students, from children to adults.... including seat, balance, and coordination of aids.

I then returned home to Montana and took up a career in Advertising and Marketing, working for several local newspapers and an equine publication. I still competed in small local shows in the area and continued my learning.

In 1997 I moved to Reno, Nevada where the climate was much more suited for riding year round. I

worked for a local rental car company as the Station Manager for 5 years and learned a lot about business. I continued working with horses, buying training and selling horses here in the Reno area for the next 9 years. That's where my new love of reining/cutting horses was found. I even had a small breeding herd and an APHA stallion.

My husband kept asking me "Can't you find horses for sale here locally? Do we always have to go all over the west to buy and transport horses?" I realized there were plenty of great horses in this area, which is why Local Horse 4 Sale™ came together, as a vehicle for all my experience in advertising and my passion for horses.

When I started this website, I wanted to create a community where people could not only buy and sell horses but find a calendar of horse-oriented events, and helpful links to information sites on subjects from color breeding to training... and everything in between.

This site gives you the opportunity to meet your local Horse Trainers, Instructors, etc. It will all be on one site, so you don't have to look in the phone book, call the feed store, call your neighbor, etc.

I hope this website never stops growing and will continue to be filled with useful information we can all use along our journey.

She now lives in Ca and is being ridden in the Feather River Equestrian program.
